Kinder Morgan Inc. Dividend Increase

Kinder Morgan Inc. (KMI) announced an increase in their quarterly dividend from $0.35 to $0.36 per share.  The new payout is payable to shareholders of record on October 31st and is due to pay out on November 15th.  This is a 2.86% increase over the last quarterly payout and a 20% increase over the 3rd Quarter 2011 payout.  Since becoming a public company KMI has increased it's dividend in 6 of 7 quarters.  This article sums up the quarterly dividend increase and the highlights of the quarterly report.

With the increase of the dividend my recently purchased shares of Kinder Morgan now have a YOC of 4.11% up from the purchase YOC of 4.00%.  My FI portfolio's YOC increased from 2.69% to 2.70%.  I will be receiving a new quarterly payout of $32.76, which is a $0.91 increase from the quarterly payout when I purchased the shares.

This is great news for any DG investor that has chosen to invest in Kinder Morgan, Inc.  One of the most encouraging signs about KMI is that they are still targeting a 12.5% annual increase in their dividend payout through 2015 based on their 2011 distributions.

    1. I know and it's going to give me some much need diversification in my monthly payout. I was getting probably 70%+ of my payout on the Mar, Jun, Sept, Dec payout schedule but KMI shifts some to the Feb, May, Aug, Nov.
