Weekly Roundup - December 17, 2016

Curated list of articles on dividend growth investing, financial independence, freedom and passive income
Happy Weekend!  Check out what's been going on in my world and some of the best articles from around the blogosphere.
It's hard to believe that 2016 is just 2 weeks from being over.  How in the world is that possible?  I don't know about all of you but this year has just flown by.  Of course that tends to happen when you have a crazy life that changes almost daily.  2016 saw me get laid off in April, welcome our daughter in July and me swap to full time dad status while my wife gets back in to teaching.

Last week I did a great job with working out and stuck to a consistent schedule.  Unfortunately this week hasn't been so lucky.  Our daughter is now 5 months old and getting more and more mobile by the day.  Which is great for her, but when you couple that with her not napping as much during the day it makes it harder for me to get anything done.  No worries though because she should start being able to entertain herself for a little bit, although maybe that's wishful thinking.

If you've been following along I've been extremely active in the options market, but there hasn't been much that I'm comfortable purchasing quite yet.  I figure I might as well use up some of these free trades in my Rollover IRA to boost up investment income.  Plus it never hurts to hone skills with other investment methods in order to have multiple feathers in your hat.

Frankly I've been lazy with my writing and haven't done anywhere near what I'd like to do.  I have so many ideas running around and draft posts started, but there's only so much time in the day and energy in my body.  I'm hoping that these next 2 weeks will see my productivity as far as increasing my writing output since my wife is on Christmas break.  I need to start scheduling a set time, likely first thing in the morning, to just get started with writing.

On to the Roundup

In case you missed them, here's the posts from Passive-Income-Pursuit over the past week.

Once again I'd like to say thanks to each and every one of you that read, commented, and shared posts from here this past week.  I think this dividend growth investing and financial independence community is amazing and the openness from everyone is awesome.  Thanks again!
