Weekly Roundup - January 7, 2017

Curated list of articles on dividend growth investing, financial independence, freedom and passive income
Happy Weekend!  Check out what's been going on in my world and some of the best articles from around the blogosphere.
I don't know about all of you but I'm glad the holidays are over with.  Don't get me wrong I love getting together with friends and family, but it's the act of traveling that isn't quite as fun.  Especially when it's kind of a whirlwind tour and now with a nearly 6 month old in tow.

I took a bit of a break from the roundups over the last couple weeks because we were just too busy and due to the timing of the holidays it was always ramping up towards the end of the week.

It's hard to believe that we're already a full week in to 2017.  I have a feeling that 2017 is going to fly by.  The one thing I can tell you about what 2017 has in store is changes are coming and to expect the unexpected.  Other than that you're on your own.

Speaking of the new year being underway, Roadmap2Retire is offering up another installment of his "Top Investment Picks" contest.  Picking the best investment over a 1 year time frame isn't exactly in my wheelhouse, but  I went with Nike, Inc. which is a company that was trading near what I consider fair value, has a good chance for double digit growth and if things go well for them 20%+ growth.  Make sure you check out the rest of the picks from the 30+ bloggers he asked.

Also I have to say thanks to The Ways to Wealth.  Back in May I wrote a post giving advice to recent/upcoming high school and college graduates.  Well, The Ways to Wealth thought it was good enough to be included in their "Top 100 Posts To Help You Achieve Financial Freedom".  That's a great honor and maybe 2017 will see a repeat appearance.

On to the Roundup

In case you missed them, here's the posts from Passive-Income-Pursuit over the past week.

Also, be sure to sign up to receive posts via email and to follow me on Twitter@JC_PIP so you don't miss anything.  You can also follow me on Facebook or Pinterest if you prefer those methods to get your daily fix and keep up to date on happenings around here.

Once again I'd like to say thanks to each and every one of you that read, commented, and shared posts from here this past week.  I think this dividend growth investing and financial independence community is amazing and the openness from everyone is awesome.  Thanks again!

  1. Thanks for the double mention and linking to the Top Investment Picks for 2017, JC. I am not a huge fan of the 1-yr time frame either, but it makes for a fun exercise thats measurable within a reasonable amount of time.

I hear you on having the holidays behind us....Hope things are well on your end.
    cheers
