The sector of the economy thats been growing through thick and thin is healthcare. The prospects for companies like medtronic are still very bright.QUALITY STOCKS UNDER 5 DOLLARShttp://www.zipleaf.us/Companies/The-Manhattan-Calumet-Value-Stock-Hotlinenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6587699706949333863.post-58390107335436761042012-12-14T15:57:53.247-06:002012-12-14T15:57:53.247-06:00AAI,

The latter 2 need at pretty big pullback before I'd start buying but that opportunity just might be coming. I need to check in more about getting the margin account so I don't have to tie up as much cash when I sell puts. I'll have to try and find out what happens in the possible scenarios. I know that it's pretty much just a credit account but I haven't looked into it that much.

Thanks for stopping by!Passive Income Pursuithttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13947101854482544346noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6587699706949333863.post-89677753298864270192012-12-14T15:47:30.362-06:002012-12-14T15:47:30.362-06:00Thanks for your detailed analysis.

I'd love to average down on MDT, BDX and JNJ in the healthcare space if we ever get a correction. I may have to look into selling another put until I get the price I want.

Take care. Ill be happy with the 7% return if they can grow eps and dividends the rates i calculated. So im happy with the purchase. Hopefully the markets will give me a chance to average down soon.

Thanks for stopping by!Passive Income Pursuithttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13947101854482544346noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6587699706949333863.post-39952563730949273402012-12-12T19:11:31.395-06:002012-12-12T19:11:31.395-06:00Pursuit,

Your quantitative look at companies leaves no stone unturned.

I would agree with your overall valuation and investment thesis. I think fair value for MDT probably ranges from about $39-43 per share. I would be okay buying shares at current market prices, but this is at the higher range of where I'd feel comfortable. BDX is similar for me. I think the fair value for BDX is probably between $75-80 per share...so again it's a bit on the high side. Both high quality companies, however.

Really not a lot to dislike about MDT. It's a great company that is anxious to return value to shareholders. It's a responsible steward of cash and produces products that will continue to be in demand, and increase in demand as our population ages.

Best wishes!Dividend Mantrahttp://www.dividendmantra.comnoreply@blogger.com
