Dividend Update Preview - August 2016 Infographic
Come look at how many dividends these excellent companies paid out in August! And 2 companies even handed out some pay raises!
The full breakdown will come early next week, but you can get the advanced look here!
Nice way to present information about your dividend activity! Looking forward to seeing the details.

Ferdi,
DeleteGlad you like the infographics. I think they are a lot more visually pleasing than tables on the page, but there's just not room to cover everything. Especially that big decline in dividends year over year.
Thanks for stopping by!
Love the visuals. Your forward dividends look really impressive. Not bad at all considering you sold a bunch of stock earlier in the year.
ReplyDeleteIH,
DeleteI'm glad you like the visuals. The forward dividends have recovered nicely considering the sales at the end of last year. Although they'll take another hit now because I just closed out a position this afternoon that I'll detail next week.
Thanks for stopping by!
I'm going to go against the grain here perhaps, :), and say that I'm still not sure I like the info graphic. As visually pleasing as it is, sometimes I find myself needing more time to digest the same amount of information. But over $300 is great! I'll be publishing mine in a few minutes actually. Keep rocking!
ReplyDeletePID,
DeleteThat's why I do my dividend updates both ways. I like the infographic because, to me, it's easier to give a more visually pleasing and quick recap of the month that was. But there's a lot of detail that's missing from the infographic.
If you don't mind do you have any suggestions/recommendations for how I can improve the current infographic?
Thanks for stopping by!
Good job! this month I did $615 in dividends. I like your graphic chart looking forward to seeing your breakdown of your dividend income.
ReplyDeleteHey PIP,
ReplyDeleteThe graphics are nice to look at but I do get the same feeling as PID mentioned above. The second graphic is hard to figure out what info you're trying to get across. I had to study it for a bit.
It is surely nice to see pretty graphics though as we read so many tables and numbers on all the blogs already!
My only suggestion would be to make the money bags in the bottom pic more to scale since the vales are very different. Right now it looks like each of your accounts are paying relatively the same amount of dividends.
I don't know, I'm no expert on the topic :). Keep up the work though, it's a neat idea and I'd like to see more!
Even with less you are still bringing those dividends in.
ReplyDeleteThen the 202 extra from increases. That is awesome keep it up
PIP,
ReplyDeleteSICK! The infograph is AWESOME, Legit as heck.
Overall - great job, over $300 is sweet and I just crossed that amount as well, as you know, for my August. Cheers to that month and our upcoming September divvy's!

Why the decrease y/y - sell some companies that pay in August?
ReplyDeleteI like the graphics but I think the white text against the blue background is hard to see on the dividends received area.
