Bull Markets, Snow and a Trip to the Zoo | Weekly Roundup - January 27, 2018

Curated list of articles on dividend growth investing, financial independence, freedom and passive income

It's hard to believe that January is just a few short days from being over.  I don't know about you, but for me it seems like we were just turning the calendar to 2018 and already 1 month is just about done.  So far the bull market continues to surge which is great for the net worth although for anyone looking for value purchases times are tough.
The past 2 weeks have been pretty great.  For starters I was off for a full week which doesn't happen all that much with my job.  It was a very much needed week off after working for pretty much 1 month straight.  Of course the best part was that I got to be home with my wife and daughter and thanks to the most recent cold spell I got to spend 2 of those days during the week with them since the school district was closed due to ice.  We even got some snow again although for the most part we just had a bunch of sleet.

And as Texas weather would have it we were back up in the 70's 3 days after having highs below freezing.  Good times.  Although that nice weather gave me a chance to take our daughter to the zoo which she loves.  Honestly the zoo membership is one of the best purchases we've made with respect to our daughter because she loves seeing all the animals.

    1. Passive Canadian,

It's funny because this trip to the zoo my daughter was all about the bugs. I think that was probably the area that was the biggest hit for her this time which is funny because I didn't think she'd really be able to find/see them. But she was talking up a storm about it the whole time we were in that building.

      All the best.
