Weekly Roundup - June 27, 2015
I finally got to make a few more purchases for my portfolio after making none the previous two weeks. It always feels good to make strides towards financial independence and the only way to do that is with consistent saving, investing, and letting the excellent companies out there do their thing. I finally added some more capital to one of the oil and gas super majors this week. I've been looking at adding shares of this company for a while with the decline in oil prices and feel that current price levels are very attractive. Their scale in geography, size, and operations will allow them to weather the downturn much better than the smaller independent companies. You can check out my post with more details of my purchase here.
Also, be sure to sign up to receive posts via email and to follow me on Twitter@JC_PIP so you don't miss anything. I also started a Facebook page to give people another option for keeping up to date on posts and happenings with the blog.
Once again I'd like to say thanks to each and every one of you that read, commented, and shared posts from here this past week. I think this dividend growth investing and financial independence community is amazing and the openness from everyone is awesome. Thanks again!

R2R,
DeleteI just hope he consistently makes progress. I know that best case scenario he probably still has another 3 months in the hospital. But if he continues to improve then that's just fine by us. He's so amazing and his strength helps to keep me going.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!
Gogogogogo little Luke. We are pulling for you!
ReplyDeleteThanks very much for the mention JC.
ReplyDeleteReally admire your resilience through the challenges you're facing with Luke. I hope he keeps making progress and you all come through this an even stronger family.
All the best,
Cheers,
Jason
Hey JC,
ReplyDeleteAs always I'm hoping all goes well with Luke. Thanks for putting together the list as well.
And THANKS for the mention, I really appreciate it man. Keep up all your hard work and stay proud.
Best regards
DB
JC - Luke sounds like a fighter. As you'd said, he already amazes doctors. I pray that he will continue to improve and provide you and your wife with a less emotional journey. Meanwhile, enjoy Luke, enjoy life, and have a happy weekend and rest of the week!
ReplyDeleteUntil the next weekly roundup. Take Care. AFFJ
JC,
ReplyDeleteReally hope and pray that Luke makes a miraculous recovery. Or at the very least that his doctors figure out a way to get his issues under control.
Be blessed,
Keith
Stay strong JC. My family is praying for Luke and your family.
