Weekly Roundup - July 30, 2016
Happy Weekend! Check out what's been going on in my world and some of the best articles from around the blogosphere. |
Other than dealing with our daughter it was a pretty quiet week. We aren't exactly living it up right now and the markets aren't offering anything compelling. Although there were 2 dividend raises for my holdings this week which is always a good thing.
Also special thanks are owed to Bryan of Income Surfer for a guest post this week!
The Devil's Financial Dictionary by Jason Zweig (affiliate link) is a nice little time killer that gives brutally honest and often humorous definitions of different finance and investing terminology.
Today's word/definition is:
"Volatility, n. - The extent to which an investment's short-term returns differ from its long-term average returns, technically known as standard deviation and colloquially known as 'Oh my God!'"On to the Roundup
In case you missed them, here's the posts from Passive-Income-Pursuit over the past week.
- Net Worth Update - June 2016
- Why I Always Have Direct Investment Exposure To International Markets
- Wal-Mart Is A Rare Deal On Sale In A Toppy Market on Seeking Alpha
- Taking Aim At Target Corporation on Seeking Alpha
- Dividend Growth Investing at Work - Realty Income Does It Again
Once again I'd like to say thanks to each and every one of you that read, commented, and shared posts from here this past week. I think this dividend growth investing and financial independence community is amazing and the openness from everyone is awesome. Thanks again!

Completely understand what's going on with the little one. Ours is only 1mo and sleep is quite the commodity!
ReplyDeletePID,
DeleteSleep is definitely a rare commodity and I can't wait for her to get older and start sleeping through the night.
Thanks for stopping by!
Congratulations! Ours are 18, 22 and 23 years old. They still give us sleepless nights.
DeleteThanks for the mention! Have a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteDiv4Son,
DeleteIt'll be a busy weekend of sitting around the house with the little one. Although there's honestly no place I'd rather be.
Thanks for stopping by!
Glad the guest post was helpful JC, and that your family is well. Take care and have a great weekend!

Bryan,
DeleteShe's finally settling into a groove which is good because it's really helping with our sanity a bit. A bit of good news bad news is that it looks like she might be able to sleep through the night once she's old enough because she sleeps really well so far. Bad news though is that she doesn't seem to like to sleep much during the day. She just cat naps 30 mins or so and then she's wide awake!
Thanks for stopping by!
Glad the baby girl is sleeping more JC. Happy for this beautiful gift in your family's life. Truly a blessing bro.
ReplyDeleteThanks for including me. Let's keep at it and enjoy the awesome journey.
Take care and see you. Cheers buddy.
Hustler,
DeleteShe really is a blessing and I wouldn't change anything for the world.
All the best.
Thank you for the mention JC! The list includes a lot of great articles!
ReplyDeleteThanks for including Sure Dividend in this week's roundup!
